We love it when folks in our community cover the good news of the amazing things our students accomplish through LINK! Durango Herald article "Businesses Find Energy, Value in Interns" 10/9/14, celebrates mentors in the Durango community. 1st Southwest Bank sponsored an event to recognize the contribution these businesses and individuals make to our Animas High School students each March during their LINK Internships. Durango Herald article "Leaving School to Make the World Their Classroom," 4/2/14, featuring three 2014 LINK internships--Keagan Felker's experience learning engraving with local gunsmith Marty Rabeno, Heidi Williams' internship with Oceans of the Americas in Costa Rica and Allie Rodd's foray into the medical field, interning at ABC College Clinic in Malawi. Article in Animas High School student newspaper, The Quill, "Leading Internships for New Knowledge," 3/18/14, which includes interviews with several students in the Class of 2015 as they dive into their first week of LINK internships.
